Due to the good times, purpose & financial success of last year’s bash –
We’re going to do it again!
Here’s a brief summary:
Stay in Douglas, AZ. Reunite with Rancho Feliz friends & get to know new Cochise Classic friends at the Expo & dinner.
*Contact Mary for camping or hotel recommendations: 602-538-9192 -or- firstname.lastname@example.org
Saturday Ride & Fandango
The Cochise Classic has been called the Jewel of Perimeter Bicycling’s events. Here the Wild West is still very much alive! Rancho Feliz cyclists choose loop rides of 27, 49, or 97 miles.
IMPORTANT! This international ride shines a bright light on Rancho Feliz’s visionary programs. We call it, “Enlightened Border Policy!” Be a part of history – join us!
After the ride, we bus across the border for an authentic Carne Asada Cookout. Lots of laughs as we also celebrate the 60th birthdays of Team 1954! We spend the night in Agua Prieta.
*Please make your Mexico hotel reservations through Mary at 602-538-9192 or email@example.com
Sunday Food Distribution
By bus we travel to our Vecinos community, have breakfast & package 12.5 tons of food into 1,000 recyclable bags. All recipients must participate in our “Limpieza por Becas” (Clean Up for Scholarships) Plastic Recycle Program. Last year over 500,000 pieces of trash (3.5 tons) were removed from the streets. Recycle proceeds funded 4 scholarships for deserving students in Agua Prieta.
We will also be unveiling our 31’ X 19’ Vecinos ceramic wall mural. The mosaic celebrates international fellowship & is the largest of its kind in Sonora.
At noon buses take us back across the border to our cars and bikes at the Douglas Fairgrounds.
The amount for this year’s “2014 BIGGER than Borders” Ride & Fandango is $1,000 (whether you ride or not). This includes your ride registration, certain meals, Fandango, Mexico transportation and a goodie bag. (Hotels and alcohol will be your expense.)
This is a Rancho Feliz fundraising drive & we are expecting much more from those of us who can. (A personal fundraising web page is provided for all participants.)
Register today & let’s show the world that:
RANCHO FELIZ “GUARDIAN WARRIORS” are BIGGER than Borders!
NOTICE: To attend the Ride, Fandango & Food Distribution you must register through this Rancho Feliz web-site. U.S.A. attendance is limited to only 80 participants so register today!
